U.S. crude, fuel inventories fall in latest week -APIU.S. crude oil and fuel stocks fell sharply last week, data from industry group the American Petroleum Institute showed on Tuesday.
Crude inventories fell by 5.1 million barrels in the week to Nov. 6 to about 482 million barrels, compared with analysts’ expectations in a Reuters poll for a draw of 913,000 barrels.Crude stocks at the Cushing, Oklahoma, delivery hub fell by 1.2 million barrels, API said.
Refinery crude runs fell by 74,000 barrels per day, API data showed.Gasoline stocks fell by 3.3 million barrels, compared with analysts’ expectations in a Reuters poll for a draw of 263,000 barrels.
Distillate fuel inventories, which include diesel and heating oil, fell by 5.6 million barrels, compared with expectations for a draw of 1.9 million barrels.U.S. crude imports fell by 109,000 bpd, the data showed.
